1. Acknowledgment of Risks:
I, the undersigned participant, acknowledge that playing pickleball involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, falls, collisions, and other unforeseen hazards. I understand that such risks may result in serious injury, disability, or even death. I hereby assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries, or damages that may occur as a result of my participation in this event.

2. Voluntary Participation:
I confirm that my participation in the pickleball event is entirely voluntary. I have not been coerced or pressured into participating and I have been advised to consult with a physician regarding my physical fitness to participate in the event.

3. Release of Liability:
In consideration for being permitted to participate in the event, I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, hereby release, indemnify, and hold harmless LC Local (operating as The Local Inc.), its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, agents, and representatives from any and all claims, demands, liabilities, or causes of action whatsoever, including claims for negligence, arising out of or in connection with my participation in the event.

4. Indemnification:
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless LC Local (operating as The Local Inc.) from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from any injury, accident, or loss that may be sustained during my participation in the event, whether such injury, accident, or loss is caused by my own actions, those of others, or the negligence of any party.

5. Medical Treatment:
I consent to receive medical treatment deemed necessary in the event of an injury or emergency during the event. I understand that I am solely responsible for any medical expenses incurred as a result of such treatment.

6. Photographic Release:
I grant LC Local (operating as The Local Inc.) permission to use photographs, video recordings, or digital images of me taken during the event for promotional purposes, including but not limited to social media, websites, and printed materials. I understand that I will not receive any compensation for the use of these images.

7. Governing Law:
This Waiver and Release of Liability shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the province/state in which the event is held. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of that jurisdiction.

8. Acknowledgment of Understanding:
I have read this Waiver and Release of Liability, fully understand its terms, and understand that I am giving up substantial rights by signing it. I acknowledge that I am signing this Agreement freely and voluntarily, and intend by my signature to be a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law.
